China now has more than 2.3 million plug-in vehiclesAccording to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), during the first eight months of this year, already more than 600,000 New Energy Vehicles (all-electric and plug-in hybrids – cars, buses, trucks, etc.) were sold.Monthly sales exceed 100,000 in August (and May) and probably will move towards 200,000 by the end of this year.“In August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 99 thousand units and 101 thousand units respectively, increasing 39% and 49.5% year on year.
