This facultymember will lead design studios for high-achieving students fromall programs, and identify and utilize the most qualified studentsto assist in the projects of the Design Institute. Areas ofspecialty include building design, urban design, historicpreservation, branding, and visual identity. Appointees willteach at the Wenzhou campus and non-teaching hours will be devotedto the creation, support, and administration of the DesignInstitute. The ideal candidate will contribute intellectually to theformation of this new professional programs by developingcurriculum; developing a research and/or creative scholarshipprogram that includes refereed publications, scholarlypresentations and grantsmanship appropriate to a distinguishedacademic level; seeking external projects and funding;participating in innovative teaching and curriculum development;and actively engaging in professional organizations.Qualifications:Terminal degree in Architecture or a related field required, oran equivalence achieved through substantial professional practice.It is highly recommended that a noteworthy record of publishedprofessional design practice be demonstrated by the applicant. Itis further recommended that candidates have a minimum two years ofprevious teaching experience at the college level. A provenrecord of academic scholarship and professional practice isrequired.
