The War On Drugs Release ‘Live Drugs’, Share ‘Super High Quality Podcast’ Episode One [Stream]

first_imgThe War On Drugs have released their latest album, LIVE DRUGS, a 10-song compilation of live recordings pulled from 40+ hard drives worth of concert audio from the rock band’s shows over the past five years and mixed together to resemble a 70-minute concert.The album features a mix of original tunes from their acclaimed 2014 Lost In The Dream LP including “An Ocean Between The Waves”, “Red Eyes”, “Eyes To The Wind”, and “Under The Pressure”, in addition to “Buenos Aires Beach” from 2008’s Wagonwheel Blues, and their cover of Warren Zevon‘s “Accidentally Like A Martyr”.“It feels like it’s kind of a reset, to be able to put something out that’s a really good interpretation of the way we interpret our music live,” the band’s singer/guitarist Adam Granduciel said with the album’s initial announcement last month. “Even though this recording is from a year of tours, this is really how these six guys evolved as a band from 2014 to 2019.”Related: The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel Debuts New Songs During Instagram Live Hangout [Watch]Listen to the band’s new masterpiece live album in full via the Spotify player below.The War On Drugs – LIVE DRUGSAdditionally, the band has released episode one of their new podcast, The Super High Quality Podcast, which will act as a companion series to LIVE DRUGS and available on major audio streaming platforms. first_imgThe 1st XV are looking for their seventh win of the season as they face Saracens Women at Cleve RFC on Sunday, October 30th (KO 2:30pm). The team sees a few changes from last week, with Sue Neumann and Sarah Graham earning their first Premiership starts of the season and Olympians Jasmine Joyce and Nolli Waterman back in the squad.Kate Newton is returning from injury and earns a seat on the bench, and Carrie Roberts starts on the wing after running out for Cardiff Blues in the Welsh regional fixtures last weekend.Saracens Women are coming into the fixture off the back of a hard loss to Aylesford last weekend, and we have worked hard this week analysing Saracens strengths and looking at ways in which to counter these on Sunday. The 2nd XV face league leaders Plymouth Albion with a strong team named. The squad sees strength and depth in the forwards, with students Stephenson, Fawcett, Underwood and Giles  paired with the experience of Travers, Buggy and Lewis.
